July 27 & 28 2022, Esplanade Recital Studio The second edition of the 30th Anniversary Season was a special one, with a two-day show and launch of the quartet's commemorative coffee-table book, T'ang At 30, at the Esplanade. It was also the first fundraising concert (July 22) that the quartet organised in 30 years. Mr Edwin Tong, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth, graced the fundraising concert on July 27. On both nights, the T'ang Quartet performed the pieces – Mozart's Dissonance, and Brahm's Op 51. No 1 in C Minor. The evenings ended with a special piece, Home – a classic that was originally composed by Dick Lee in 1998 for Singapore's National Day Parade. This rendition was arranged by local producer, arranger and composer Bang Wenfu. The outing underlined the quartet's endeavours to tackle the major works of the great masters such as Haydn, Mozart, Brahms and Beethoven while keeping their edge in performing contemporary works and new ones by living composers.
